Clear Space & Minimum Size

Always ensure that our logo appears clearly and legibly whenever you use it.

Clear Space

Clear space is the area surrounding our logo that must be kept free of any visual elements—text, graphics, borders, patterns, other logos, etc. Shown here are specifications for the minimum clear space you should use.

Minimum Size

The minimum size is the smallest our logo can appear without compromising legibility. Shown here are the recommended minimum sizes you should use for both digital and print applications.

Color Palette

Primary Colors

Black and white serve as the foundation of the TiDB color palette, providing a backdrop that highlights our four vibrant primary hues, each offered in a range of tints and shades. Complementing these are a series of neutral tones, adding depth and versatility to ensure a cohesive visual system.

Typography

Primary Typeface

Moderat and Moderat Mono are our primary brand fonts. You should use them in all external-facing materials.

Typography

This is a licensed font. So, don’t use trial versions for public facing materials. You can ask help by contacting our Marketing Team at: mkt-team@pingcap.com

Alternative Typeface

In situations where Moderat and Moderat Mono are not available, such as in applications like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, you can use DM Sans and DM Mono as alternatives, but make sure to limit this usage to non-marketing documents only.

Alternative Fonts

Both DM Sans and DM Mono are available as free downloads from Google Fonts.

Brand Elements

The Cornerstone is the primary graphic element in TiDB’s visual system, symbolizing the product’s literal and metaphorical foundations. In traditional architecture, a cornerstone is the first stone laid, setting the foundation and alignment for the entire structure. Similarly, TiDB acts as the foundational element upon which organizations build their data ecosystems, offering stability, precision, and direction.

The Cornerstone is available in the four variations shown here.
